For the school context assignment we worked with, selection methods, compositing multiple photos, editing photos, unleashing creativity. In order to do this project you had to have a base to start with, so I chose to go outside and take a picture of the brick and snow. We also had to add photos to the the picture to create an unexpected setting. This assignment was definitely one of my favorites, it's so fun!

For this photo assignment I tried to find something with lots of texture to make the close up picture interesting and to make it have personality. So I chose to do this section macro, with a flower to really show lines and texture. Shutter Speed: 1/60
Aperture: 4.0 ISO: 800 For editing this photo I brightened up the exposure and added some saturation and contrast. In this assignment we worked with a picture of a car, and we tried to "fix" the photo by taking out some un-needed details, and we also took out the whole background so it wouldn't take the focus away from the bright red car. We learned how to use the clone tool, selection tools, levels and layers.
In this assignment I decided to try to find something simple to shoot. I looked around for different areas of composition and i ended up coming across color, on this tree. I really liked how the colors kind of clash with each other, to make them all pop. In the assignment I learned that you really need to find and use different angles to make the photo interesting. aperture: f/8.0
shutter speed: 1/50 ISO: 100 For editing this photo, I boosted the contrast, turned up the magenta color so the bark wouldn't just show dead brown, and lastly I brightened the exposure just the slightest. In the pop art assignment we had to shoot a picture of somebody or yourself and take out all the colors and turn four of the photos, red, green, yellow and blue and you had to adjust it where you thought it looked the best. In this assignment i learned a lot of things, I learned how to take out all color in a photo and I learned how to copy a photo and paste it next to the same picture to create the square effect. I also learned how to add certain colors to a picture.
For this weeks assignment I decided to do the black and white topic. One of the biggest thing I learned this week for black and white is, always try to find contrast. Contrast is big for black and white because, once you take out the colors you're left with black, white, and grey and to make the pictures pop you need to try to make the colors opposite since they're not so alike. I also really liked doing the black and white topic because there's so many things you can take pictures of for this that it makes it fun.Aperture: f/3.5 Shutter speed: 1/8 ISO:800
For this photo I took out the colors, of course and turned the offset down and turned up the exposure and contrast. In this assignment we had to take eleven pictures usuing the elements of composition which are, framing, perspective, space, balance, color, pattern, texture, symmetry, lines, depth of field, and lastly rule of thirds. After we took tons of pictures we ended up choosing our best eleven for each composition. What did you learn?Overall in this assignment I learned how to import photos from my camera to my computer, I learned what to look for in a photo and how to make things pop and interesting, I learn how to create a blog and how to use a camera the right way.
